Most local communities in Uganda practice subsistence farming as a source of livelihood which is unsustainable. As a result, they earn less and cannot afford to have good standards of living such as having a balanced diet and affording quality healthcare services. The Seeds for the Future Project aims at elevating the standards of living of disadvantaged populations, most especially women and children, in grassroots communities in Uganda. Our project is expected to improve the socio-economic status of the beneficiaries and generate environmental benefits. Some of the activities involved include agro-forestry, establishing kitchen gardens, reducing animal product consumption, climate restoration and illness in children. These activities have a high market value to benefit local communities and transform them significantly in ways that elevate their livelihoods and standards of living. This is because they integrate solutions to socio-economic and environmental challenges by increasing household incomes, diversifying livelihoods, empowering women and youth, preventing soil erosion and sequestering carbon, developing technical skills in maintaining and replenishing fruit trees and diversifying household diets with fruit consumption. Also provide a sustainable source of nutrition and repopulate local communities with native and tropical fruits and vegetables.

Using women care groups through investing in women and children as the first choice in addressing climate crisis and save next generation.
